Supporting the Flying Doctor
DASX are proud to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section).
Since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) has been a vital lifeline for people living, working, and travelling across the state, ensuring access to essential primary healthcare and aeromedical services for those who need it most.
Operating 24/7, their emergency retrieval service provides life-saving care to over 330,000 Australians each year — that’s one person every two minutes.
In addition to emergency aeromedical retrievals, the RFDS provides a wide range of primary and preventative healthcare services include telehealth consultations, mental health support, oral health care, and health promotion programs, enhancing the health and well-being of communities across Queensland.
With demand for services increasing each year, community support remains vital to improving health outcomes. The support of the community makes it possible to fuel aircraft, equip medical teams with critical tools like ventilators and defibrillators, and light remote airstrips so pilots can land safely at night.

Our mission
Delivering 24-hour emergency aeromedical care and fly-in primary health care services across remote Australia remains at our core nearly 97 years since the first flight. This essential emergency service provides assurance to people living, working and travelling in rural and remote Australia, where there are often few other health services available.
